LiuGong Breaks Ground on a Green, Intelligent Machinery Park in Indonesia

Key Points
- Indonesia's first new-energy equipment base
- Planned 5,000-unit annual capacity
- R&D center and joint laboratory planned
On July 22, LiuGong held the groundbreaking for its Indonesian Green and Intelligent Industrial Park in Karawang, West Java.
Park development and strategic positioning
The project is due to be completed and put into production in the first half of next year, creating Indonesia's first new-energy construction-equipment manufacturing base, cementing Indonesia's position as LiuGong's Asia-Pacific manufacturing center and gradually reaching North American, European and other markets. It will also drive local parts supply, supply-chain coordination and talent development, supporting Indonesia's downstream-manufacturing strategy.
Full support for construction
West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi said at the site that the project will add new momentum to West Java manufacturing and that the provincial government will continue to support it, creating a sound environment for mutual benefit.

Deepening the ASEAN green track
The chairman said the park is an important practice in LiuGong's long work in Indonesia. LiuGong will continue to deepen cooperation with Indonesian and ASEAN partners, staying open, collaborative and innovation-driven to support regional manufacturing and the green transition.
Intelligent lines for digital, efficient production
The first phase will build excavator and electric wheel-loader lines with a planned annual capacity of 5,000 units, introducing automated guided vehicles, rail-guided logistics and manufacturing execution systems for fully digital, intelligent management and continued gains in quality and efficiency.
R&D and talent for a local innovation system
The president said the park is not only a modern factory but a green, intelligent platform combining manufacturing, R&D, talent development and industrial cooperation. LiuGong will set up a product application R&D center in Indonesia and build a joint laboratory with Gadjah Mada University, advancing technology transfer and local talent development. Since joining a China-Indonesia school-enterprise program in 2023, LiuGong has trained more than 900 students, with a new group of 30 now training at its China headquarters.
The groundbreaking marks an important step in LiuGong's global manufacturing layout. It will continue to deepen local development and, with partners, build out the new-energy equipment ecosystem to create greater value for Indonesian manufacturing and global customers.
