LiuGong 2026 Global Customer Festival Opens in Liuzhou

On May 31, the 2026 LiuGong 5·28 Global Customer Festival opened in Liuzhou. Under the theme Intelligent, Green, Empowering People, it gathered more than 1,200 guests from over 50 countries to see the results of LiuGong's digital transformation and zero-carbon journey. A minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Chinese industry-association leaders and LiuGong leadership attended.

A milestone year

In his welcome address, the chairman noted that 2026 is a milestone year: the opening of the 15th Five-Year Plan, the fifth anniversary of the leadership's visit to LiuGong, the 60th anniversary of LiuGong loaders, and the first year of high-quality development and breakthrough through change. LiuGong will target complete solutions, full digitalisation and globalisation, led by technology, to build a world-leading equipment and technology solutions provider.

The president's development report reviewed LiuGong's 68-year journey with its customers, saying the company will take customer needs as its starting point, empower customer value, drive product upgrade through innovation, and build a world-class, trusted construction-equipment industry.

New mining and electric equipment launched

The world's largest permanent-magnet hybrid loader, the 8250TE, was launched to coloured smoke. It uses the world's first low-speed, high-power permanent-magnet drive and a high-power, long-life energy-storage hybrid system, independently controlling each wheel's speed and torque for higher fuel efficiency and productivity.

Also released were the unmanned electric rigid truck DW165CE, supporting manned/unmanned mixed operation and stable autonomous driving in visibility as low as 20 metres; upgraded 5G remote-control technology for a 135-tonne ultra-large excavator; and the world's first hybrid motor grader, the 4380DH, and the large LD60D dozer, together forming a green, intelligent system covering all mine processes.

Zero-carbon smart-mine solution

LiuGong launched a zero-carbon smart-mine solution, an integrated equipment-plus-energy-plus-intelligence-plus-service system giving global mines a one-stop, workable transformation path, with a microgrid energy platform that solves remote-mine energy problems, can create green-power trading income and cuts power cost by more than 40%. Its full-scene electric solution covers pure-electric, hybrid, tethered and battery-swap power, with a self-developed smart mine system using 5G, AI and BeiDou for visual control and intelligent scheduling that raises efficiency by more than 20%.

600,000th loader delivered

With a whistle, LiuGong's 600,000th loader, the pure-electric 8110TE, was delivered to head to the mining front. Over sixty years LiuGong loaders have held the leading domestic share and produced many industry firsts, from the plateau-special ZLG50G to the pure-electric 856H-EV and unmanned mining 870HE.

The festival displayed more than 150 large solution machines, over half of them new-energy equipment across the full range. At the test-drive, customers praised the electric loaders and unmanned trucks, and guests toured the intelligent factories. On the eve of the event, 2,000 drones formed a flowing galaxy over the river to light the city night.
